I feel that if it can safe a life then it is fine that a person's organs are removed but of course the person's permission is needed.Without the person's permission and just removing the organs i feel that it is something no one should do.And i feel that for the trading of organs, even if doing that it might save a life i still feel that the government should still leave it as illegal.I think that would let the people of the country feel safe and not one fine day waking to find maybe one of your kidneys missing.

I think selling your own kindey to others is okay but legally and the donor must agree too.Saving a life is one thing but you just want to make money is another thing .some people sell their kidney for money only but they never thought of whether their actions are legal or illegal .For another case is when one is kidnap, his /hers organs will be removed without their consent. I think it is illegal to do that .Health is priceless, we were born to have two kidney ,why just for money and donate one of your kidney.MUUUSSSTTT we REALLY donate our kidney????

Anonymous said...

I think that if donating a kidney can save a life, than, why not? Of course personal permission is needed. But selling it is another issue.Selling to make money is really a bad idea. Why?That's because if the govenment really allows that, the crime rate will increase.Resulting in people hidding in houses fearing if they go out, their lives would be endangered. Then, everyday on the streets you will hear " Ahh! My kidneys? They are gone!!!!" That would be really terrible......

I think it is not right to sell our kidney. We might die if one kidney fails. We are lucky to be born with two kidneys unlike a few, therefore we should treasure it. I watched a movie before where this guy randomly kidnapped a person, and cut out their kidney. One of the victim's kidneys failed and died in the end. The sight of the kidnappers putting the kidney into a pail of ice to preserve the kidney made me feel gross. In the end, the kidnappers were captured by the police but the victims will have a scar in their heart forever and they will not have back their kidney anymore. Thus, I hope that people will not sell their kidneys but learn how fortunate to have two kidneys.

I think it is right and not right for you to sell the kidney. If you can save a person from dieing by donating a kidney why won't you do that. But it must go through your consent whether you want to donate it or not.But if you just want $$$ for selling your kidney you are spoiling your health and you might not be able to survive if your only kidney fail. That why I think that donating your kidney is a correct thing to do but selling is not.

Anonymous said...

Personally, i do not think that selling kidney is a good idea.I do not think it is right. If this is allowed, people will go around and 'cheat' for others people kidney. If it is just donating, of course i will think it is right! What is the point of having so much money without having life to use or enjoy it? And i do not think that it is good for people to 'steal' other people kidney.

For me,its illegal to remove the kidney from someone who is unconcious and unwilling to remove their kidney.Even if its for money, you may do it because no one is stopping you but u must make sure that your other kidney is perfectly fine as your health comes first above everything else.I hope that the government will still continue with the 'stealing' of kidneys being illegal.I hope i do not end up losing my kidney unknowingly...

nowadays, sellings of organs a 'hot' topic for debates and i myself have read alot on blogs these days. many people have already commented that sellings of organs are positive towards their feelings and have accepted it. as for me i am like the people -- sellings of organs have nothing wrong. i think it is a human right if you are forced to donate your organs then it is breaking the law , but what if i WANT to donate it to a particular person, then why not?
like maybe the one who needs help is our relatives? couldn't we just donate to the person we want to?
we can decide on what we want to do.
but people like the donor in the recent case, they are very poor and have to earn a living so they have no choice but to sell his organs. and the patient does not want to die thus also have no choice and time to wait for the approval of kidney transplant in the hospital.
in these situations .don't you think it is a win-win situation?joyce

I think that kidney transplant is alright because it helps to save some lives BUT, one should not do it illegally. Some people sell their kidney because of financial problems while others sell their kidney just for the sake of extra money and use it to spend on luxury.I think that those people who sell their kidney just to get extra money should stop doing this because health is more important than money. If one is unfortunate enough, the kidney transplant might fail and one could die when that happens.Kidney is one of the most important organ in our body.Without kidneys one may die.( YOUR HEART AND LUNGS ARE ALSO IMPORTANT!!!)

I think that one should not sell his or her kidney,or any organs .Those people in the movie sold their organs as they are facing finance problem. It is also illegal to trade any of their organs with money. As I feels that everyone or anyone's life are equally important whether they are poor or rich. There is a saying of First Come First Serve, Wait Till Your Turn and be fair to everyone. Anyway, I do not want to be kidnapped by anyone and find that one of my kidney to be gone.

I think that it is not quite right to sell our own kidneys. It is a risk actually if we depend only on one kidney,if this only kidney fails,we are putting our lifes on danger.Even if they were very poor, they should not exchange their kidneys or other organs with money as there might be a better way.I do not uderstand if money is more important than health.

Anonymous said...

I think it is not right for them to sell their organs because of finace problems . They can work to earn their money and not to sell their organs . Every parts of organs in our body are precious , we should not waste it. Morever , our body are more than anything, even money is not as important than our body. An example, if u have a lot of money , but if your health is not good as much money is also as good as u do not have.

i think that selling our organs e.g our kidneys is a very dangerous thing to do as once we sell it, a life may be saved but if your kidney fails, your life is lost... i think that it is better to stay on the safe side....

Anonymous said...

i think that it is not right to sell our organs. e.g. when you sell your kidney , you will die more early but if that person have financial problems, then i think it is fine but if the person does not have financial problems , i think we should not sell our organs to other people

i feel that people are like so... brainless to SELL their kidneys. it is so so disgusting just to think about it. i feel people should treasure what is given to them for others don't even have them,(for example, grandparents, clothes, food and books[not to mention school!:P]) I feel pity for the sellers though. i think even though they choose such a silly method(later get dieasese or something then DIE)i think they may not have wanted also...
but i still am AGAINST the idea of selling your kidney(or any other organs)as i think it is given to us for a reason.

Anonymous said...

I think it is not right to sell our kidneys because it is illegal and what if the only kidney left have any problems? I won't want to know what will after that. Even if they are facing finance problems, this is not the way to get money. There are many ways to earn money. Why choose this way?

Anonymous said...

i think it is not right to sell our kidney unless it is to save people and not for money.you can work for money, why must sell the kidney, it will only give you a long scar and you can use the money for a few months only, it also cannot last forever and ever and ever.it is illegal too.what if the only kidney you have die, you will die too, but if you did not sell for money, you have another kidney and would not die so fast...but if the person really have no choice and need the money urgently, then they will have to see their kidney...

Anonymous said...

EEWWWWW. i would never sell my kidney for money. It's disgusting and what if my other kidney fail? i would coose to live than to die for money. besides you will get a scar and you may always get caught. I wonder how Mr Karmar has so much money to give to the people who sel their kidneys. If he would have fled to Canada, can't the Canadian police catch him?

I think there there are more cons than pros when it comes to organ trading. Usually the poor peoples will lose out here as they would willingly sell their kidney to the rich people for money. If a poor person needs a kidney, his chances of getting one for free would be very very slim. All the doners would definatly want to sell their kidney to the rich people for money instead of giving it to the poor person for free. The poor person would not have enough money to buy a kidney too. WHen more and more poor people die because of kidney failure, the society will lose out too as not many people will want to take jobs such as roadsweeper ETC. ( LOL! Did not noticed that i wrote so long)

I feel that this action of selling or even trading your own organs is actually super disgusting. However,I really pity those who have no choice but to sell their organs just for money. But,I have been thinking, don't they feel any pain?I actually would say that I object as if one starts ,others will follow.Anyway, they do not have the need to sell their organs. They can do something else to get money like get a job or whatever. If they really went to TRADE their kidney, there will be only one left and if anything BAD happen to him or her, that someone may die.Our health and body is very important,so protect yourselves!

I think it's not right to sell our organs. I would only agree to give my organ if the person who needs the kidney is my relative.I would rather donate my liver than donate my kidey as our liver can grow back.I think those people who go to India or Indonesia are brainless as they have a high risk of losing 1 of their organs.

I think that the selling of organs can be legalised as I think that if a kidney can save a life and the doner agrees the donate his/her kidney , then I feel that it is alright. But in third world countrys like Indonasia and others sell their organs just for money,it is a completely different story.Put your self into other's people's shoes and if your desperate for a kidney to save your life, then i think you would want to buy a kidney to save your self.So in overall,i think it should be legalised

I feel that we should have the right to sell our organs because it is our property but if the authorities make trading of organs legalise in Singapore then, they must surely do something to make sure that there will not be stealing of organs. For example, kidneys, it is traded most often and sold to others most often because we have two of them . So, if we do not have one then. we still can depend on another one. Every year few hundreds of people died as they are waiting for a donor to donate a kidney to them. So, I think if people can sell kidneys in Singapore, I am sure that more people are willing to be donors and part with one of their kidney as they claim some money. Poorer familys will also benefit from this because they can sell their kidney to overcome financial difficulties. I am also sure that people are willing to pay a sum of money to buy a kidney as health is more impotant than anything else in my opinion. Maybe, some people may also raise money or even apply for a loan just to buy a kidney. I think we will be more interested to help others or in this situation, donate a kidney if we gain or have some sort of benefit. So, the best thing that almost everyone would want is money. So, that is why I think we should legalise organ trading in Singapore but have to look out for organs being stolen. There will surely be some people who will steal organs to have some money.

I don't think it is right for one to sell one's kidney even if they do not have enough money. If he/she needs money they could just work to get money, as they have the ability to work even if they can't work they could get help from charity. As for those who buys the kidney, they have even more reason to not buy the kidney compared to people who sells their kidneys. And also buying kidney may not help those who need kidneys, as their blood type may be different and their size of kidneys might also be different. so I don't think it is good for people to buy or sell kidney.

selling of kidneys is not considered bad but much more of cruel to your own body. Its like tearing a piece of flesh off your body. Money cannot buy your health but it can improve it. I think people should sell their kidneys for regret, at their own risk.

To me,I feel that it is okay for people to do organ trading IF they think they are healthy enough. But stealing of organs is defintely not the right thing to do. I find that the blame should be put on the docters who help the people to operate them. If they are not willingly to operate, there might not be such thing as organ trading. But it is kind of scary to think that we have only one organ. If one of the organ is damage , at least there is another to replace. Overall, i don't think we should trade organs...

To me, I feel that organ trading is both right and wrong. Some people may need organs badly, because their lives are hanging on a thread. But if the government legalised organ trading, people will not take care of their health, because they will depend on organ trading to survive if their organs spoiled. Mostly, I feel that organ trading should be legalised, because life comes first, but it had to be controlled properly.

I think that selling our organ is 'wrong' decision. You may ask why. The reason is,if let's say at the poorer country, people are desperate for money, they would start selling their organs.(eg.liver,kidney) Then the next day,the other remaining organ(if there are one more left)fails due to certain reason, they got the money but never use it cause they die. Another reason is,if they keep on selling their organs, they will become greedy(for money) and no one will want to donate their organs(for free). This is why i say it might be 'wrong' to sell it. But I know that on the other hand, nine years is too long a wait for organ failure patients and organ failure patients goes through a difficult time and as for some of the patients it is a matter of life and death. So I think,if it is to save another person life, then I think it is only right to donate your own organs(without any money)to the person.

I think it is not sane to sell kidneys. It is just like using a computer. If one computer breaks down, we can always use another. In this case,if the sole kidney fails, then you would be the next one in need of a kidney. The selling of kidneys usually takes place in the black market all over the world.I think selling of kidneys are just for temporary satisfaction($$Money$$ or Kindness?)although the kindney sellers are desperate for cash,i believe they could resort to other positive ways of getting money.

Anonymous said...

i think it is ok to sell our kidneys as we have 2 of it,it can save lives and we are doing good deeds.why not

Anonymous said...

I do not think it is right to sell our kidney. Even though it is worth quite a lot of money, it is still not right. What if your other kidney fails to work? Then others may not want to sell their kidney to you. Your kidney is more important to you than money. You can survive without much money but you cannot survive without both your kidney. We can go for an operation to DONATE our kidney if we obtain a proof to show that we are qualified or allowed to DONATE our kidney.

Anonymous said...

I think that as many people have already stated...like if 1 kidney is sold & the other failed your life would be in danger;the other is that it is for finance problems. What i think is that both are correct and although it is wrong to sell our own organs for money, I still think that we should not sell organs for money.Another side of the debate is that if this selling of organs get legalised ,people in poor countries would get kidnaped for illegal kidney kidnapping or they would sell their own organs like nobody's buisness.

I think that it is okay for the recievers to get kidneys illegally as the demand for kidneys is high they have to often wait for months or even years to get one legally at hospitals. The reciever gets the kidney illegally, you risk getting the donor's sickness if the donor is ill. But on the other side as a donor, you risk the danger if your one and only kidney is non-functionable. Justin Yee

I pity that people are poor but selling kidneys is totally wrong.Plus it is also illegal.I know it will get them money, lots of it,but,if the law catches them,it will not be worth it.And if their remaining kidney fails, they would have to die.Besides, they must know that life is much more vital than money.

I think that selling your organ is NOT right as it is illegal. If a person really wants to sell them for money, they could at least get a permission from the government. I don't think we should do illegal stuff. If the person is selling it for money, i'm sure that there are other ways to earn money, or you can either get help. Besides, how much money do you earn by selling that one prescious kidney. If the only kidney fails, the person might die or either have serious illnesses. the person will also don't have enough money to see a doctor for treatment, and is like after you just sold your own kidney and then die. Isn't that worthless? If a person needs a donor badly, they must make sure the donor agrees, not ‘stole’ their kidneys. It will be very sad is a person wakes up one day, feeling that there is like something missing from their body. I don’t think anyone would want that to happen to themselves.
