In my opinion bringing handphones is allowed in school because when i need to contact my family after school it will be easiler then wasting 10cent to the phone in the school.But if i have phone card then it will be a waste of it for me to not using it.For people like me that do not have handphone will normaly use the phone in the school or lending it from your friend.From:AlvinHoong
well i think bringing handphones to school is quite normal as we need to call our parents sometimes for some urgent matters or reasons about staying back in school for the last minute...just in case they get worried...and go to school to look for us or worse still call POLICE...then there will be some trouble lar... even though there are phones in school but we need to pay for them and sometimes we spend our last cent on food or drinks or some tibits... and run out of $$$.so we end up have to lend $$$ from people and will be oweing people $$$ lor...so trouble some might as well bring our own phone(for those who have)instead
I think to some people,bringing handphones may be important.For me,i don't really think that it is important to bring handphones to school.It is not because i don't have a handphone that i am saying that,but seriously,why do we need to bring a handphone when we have phone booths.it is much more expensive.As phone booths only need ten cents to use it and i think many students can afford to pay it.In the morning session,i think students are bringing it for fun and if recess is over,why do they need to bring it as they won't be needing it anymore.It will be a waste of effort and strength to take care of it.Some people may use it in class and make sounds out of it which would disrupt the class.I hope they would stop using it in class.If one phone is missing,maybe the student would tell their parents about it and they would report it to the school and the school will need to take time to look at the CCTV camera to find the culprit or maybe the student just lost it.that is why i disagree for bringing handphones to school.
I think we should not bring our handphones,because i think we can use the public phone in the school. we might lost our phones,and now a days we use more expensive phones that some might cost $3++,so i think we should not bring phones to school
Aiya bringing phone to school is okay,example:calling our parents or contacting someone who is important.But if euu use it in class than it is not very gd le.Always must use public phone waste 10 cent still must queue up why don euu just use ur handphone
.As for me i live at Sengkang then must tak bus very long so later i go hom late my parents would wan to contact me.So my opinion is we should bring handphone to school.
I don't think it is necessary for students to bring handphones to school. Because handphones are very expensive nowadays, so if I were to bring handphone to school, I would not feel secured if i had left it in my school bags and it would be very troublesome for me to bring it with me all the time in each of every corner of the school. If someone bought his/her handphone with him/her to the school it might get lost. So if it got lost, people have to spend time to finding out where the iccident took place, and it would be a waste of time to do that. If anyone were to bring handphone to classroom, he/she should always turned their handphones to silent made so that the class would not be distracted by the ringtone of the handphone if it rings, but I don't think it is good to do that. Another reason is, some mischievous boys/girls might purposely use someone's handphone to do some prank calls just to burn a whole in his/her pocket so I think it is the best to just carry a phone card or a few ten cent coins will do. For some people who does not owned a handphone on their own, I think that they should always bring a phone card along with them so that would easier for to contact their friends/relatives for urgent matters. But for people who needs to contact their parents/relatives for urgent matters often after school/classes, I think it is okay for them to bring a handphone along with them, but they should alway be responsible of their own handphones. This is some reasons why I disagree pupils to bring handphones to school.
i think bringing handphones has disadvandage and advandage.the advantage of bringing a handphone is impotant as you need to contact your parents about urgent mattters but you should not use it during lesson as you may disturb others.i think we should turn our handphones to silent mode as if it ring it will disturb others.Bringing handphones has diadvandage as if you lost it you will be sad and suspect someone for stealing it and if you sign for a contract to a company example singtel you will have to pay quite a lot and if you buy those prepaid card you not have to pay quite a lot but you will lose the handphone

I think that bringing handphone is not necessary to bring even though I agree thatwe need to call our parent,but it is $0.10 only and it is not like that we can't afford it.Because when I use my handphone it is much higher than that.Another reason is that when you are studing then you forgot to put it in silent mode then it is like so embarrasing.
I think that bringing handphones to school is normal for us kids nows a days. Ithink that bringing handphones to school is a half good half bad situation as for good in the sense that we may contact our parents if we have any emergency or want to tell them if we have anything important to inform them. The bad point is that we may sometimes because of temtation, took it out and play with it and got conficicated by our teachers. So I think that if we have self-control, it is alright for us to bring our hand phones to school.( Provided that our parents allows us to!)
I seriously doubt that students need to bring handphones to school and they always have this same reason to argue.(This is singlish because i quoting what they say)But we need call parents!-That is nonsense.If we need call parents then use the phone booth it only costs 10 puny cents and if they argue again that it will be very crowded at the booths.But..... Actually i dont have reason to argue with that because office only let 1 at a time use the phone.
I think it is necessary to bring handphones to school as you might need to contact people aka: friends or relatives or parents who are picking you up after school and you couldn't find them and you might be worried and there's an advantage like what Teckyang said there's an advantage be'cos it will be kept in your pocket and it might use up all the space in that pocket and you might find it difficult to run or bend you lower parts of your body. ( I mean bending to stretch your bones after hour's of sitting or things like that , and i am refering to that , not your private part as that is also your lower part of your body. ok?! Please do not misunderstand. And while i the process of stretching , you might forget to take out the phone and it might crack and it will be spoil. So there's a different comment to Yes or No for everyone and for me i think it is a Yes for me.

As for me,bringing handphones to school is not important but it may be necessary for some pupils if their parents will be fetching them after school or bringing them somewhere after school and want them to wait somewhere for them.and if u cannot find your way there,you can call them using your handphone as there are no telephone booth.or between school hours,some pupils would rather sms their parents rather than call them.Even though there are telephones booth in school,some people would rather use their own handphones as you do not need to queue up to wait for the others to use finish and handphones are used for calling people and smsing them..The disadvantage of bringing handphones to school is that you have to take care of it very carefully.So,as for me,i think that bringing handphones to school is alright..
I feel that bringing handphones to school IS important. Some people say that people may lose handphones in school. I've lost my handphone before in my other school. BUT, I called my own phone number using my friend hp, and as I retraced my steps, I found someone picking it up. Soon, I found my hp in the hands of my friend in the canteen. Afterthat, i took SPECIAL care of my phone. Some parents’ say that handphones are expensive or a waste of money, I find that just an excuse. Handphones have so many useful functions in it; of course it can't be cheap. BUT, that's exactly why handphone companies come up with something called ' PACKAGES OR PLANS'. Gives you an amount of FREE messages or a period of time for FREE calls. Contacting your parents after school is much easier. Let’s say you are already outside the school, on the bus, getting ready home. How are you suppose to find a PUBLIC TELEPHONE then? People say: Can’t you borrow it from people when you are on the bus?” I disagree; not every passenger you meet will be willing to lend you his or her phone.

i think it is important for us to bring a handphone to school, because if we get lost somewhere and cant find our way home then we will want to find help and that is when a handphone comes in.
And if you are "caught" by your teachers and had to stayback, you can contact them straight away and not use the public phones at school, which sometimes have no number and then they will worry that it might be someone who is prank calling etc.
but i do agree that it is important and that we do need a phone in school.

i think bringing handphone is alright because i bring handphone everyday...... i may cost more expensive but i think it is worth it.i can carry my phone eveywhere....haha.but ones,i spend 400 dollars trying to download games........but as what people say, it is better to use the public phone.haha.....
I feel that bringing handphone is accpectable.Sometimes if we need to stay back or we forget to bring some thing/s we can call for our parents or SMS them.BUT we should not SMS in class or during cirriculum time,by doing this,we are being rude to our teacher.
i am not sure wether we need to bring handphones to school or not,
because it has disadvantage and advantage.It's disadvantage is that
if you lost it,you will have to buy

I think that bringing handphone to school is ok.But we ourselves have to take care of it.When we bring it to school,we have to switch it to silent mode or it will disturb the rest who are studying.we also need to take good care of it as if it went missing,you will need to inform your parent,teachers and they need to help you find or even worst help you buy a new one.(If you come from rich family.)For those who have no handphone,you may just need to bring some extra money to school for emergency like need to stay back in school or other reasons.IF not,i don't think that it is neccessary for us to bring handphone to school.
I think bringing handphone to school is necessary because i could contact my parents or my maid if i have one to come and fetch me home if i am staying in school till very late in the afternoon . for me , i need it because for my CCA , we often have performance till 9 plus or even later . I could call my father to drive me home once i reach the school . It can also not be necessary because if my friends own one , i could borrow it from them .
I think we should bring handphones to school for emergency cases as we cant run all the way to a public phone to use. And not alot of people have small change of coins.

I think it is ok to bring handphones to school. Just to remember not to bring too expensive one to school. After buying a expensive one, don't bring it to school. But, can use the expensive phone outside but do not bring it to school. Use the old one at school to prevent losing the phone. Bring the new and expensive phone to school, you have to face the consequence. People will start eyeing the phone and that could be one of the reason why people lose their phone.From:Nick Chan
I think briniging handphones is allowed as sometimes, after school you may have remedial that you may have forgotten to tell your parents about it so you will like to call them to inform them what time to go home....If you use the puclic phone, you will have to waste an innocnet 10 cent coin that has done no harm to you.. Or maybe enven after school you were walking to the bus stop then you luckily spotted Mas Selemat roaming the streets then of course, you must call the police.(make sure you do not be in cahoots with him).

I think that it is necessary and unnecessary to bring handphones.it is necessary to bring handphones to school to inform their parents what they are doing or tell their parents that they asking the teacher on some questions they did not know.Unnecessary to bring handphones as there is public phones in the school but it would waste some time and they might be lost if you bring handphones to school and when they bring handphones to during the exam and suddenly it rang....the person might get 0 marks for cheating in the exam. I think that schools should allow pupils to bring mobile phones to school, as they need to contact their parents after school. During one time, I told my father that I was going to my friend's house to complete a project. My mother was at home and was worried about why I did not reach home on time. I also think that they should not abuse it as to message each other in class. I find it troublesome to remember to keep 10 cents after recess. I find it quite irritating to call people using the public pay phone as I need to Queue up to use it. If there is an emergency and you need to call the police, fire brigade or the ambulances you still need to wait! Another point about bringing mobile phones to school is actually a bad point as they may use it to disturb their classmates or schoolmates with calls during lessons. In addition, if sometimes you cannot reach your parents by calling them you can at least use your mobile phone to message them-at least they know that you are staying back in school. However, if you cannot reach them they may panic and come all the way to school and look for you. That is why I think bringing a mobile phone to school is important.
i think that bring handphone to school is very important cuz if you last minute need to stay back or need to call your parents for important maners.anyway bringing handphone is better than wasting 10 cents and waiting for the long queue(wasteing time and effort and energy )!!!!!so i advise everyone to bring handphone everyday to school(provided that your parents allowing you):)
i think bring handphone to school is a good idea,as easier to contact our parents if we have to stay back for extra lessons or get held back by teachers.And if u really need to call your parents and did not bring your handphone it will be needing to queue up and use a 10 cent coin to use the phone to call your parents.
sigh....bring handphone of corse important.But like example call parents ,friends....blah... but for e.g like kidappers,robber,thief or 'rape'....then need ...so i think bring handphone is the BEST !!!! cx(btw ms yu that time i got post then when i come back the post no more aredy *weird*...)
