It was a calm and relaxed morning. In between tall woody trees that seemingly reached high up to the sky was a small, lonely grey stone lying in the middle of the soft fresh grass that was wet with dew. The trees were luscious and green, casting long spooky shadows on the ground. As the morning breeze blew upon me, making me feel cool and soothed, I worked in my neon-orange uniform, digging a spot to grow some trees with my heavy shovel. While the mound of brown soil grew gradually and the shovel scraped against the ground, my arms were aching with exhaustion.
When I entered the harbour, there was a strong smell of musty and weird smell. Smells of dead fish can also be smelled. You will feel very cramp and you will be scared when you go there alone at the dusk of dawn. If you go there during weekdays in the afternoon, large noises could be heard from far away. You would have to wear special muffles to protect your ears. From far away, you can see a piece of white sheet. I think that the cars are ordered from the same car brand as their colours of the cars are the same. Outside the waiting area, there is a long and monstrous truck on the road, waiting to deliver the cars to the respective outlets. At the background of the scene, there is a large cargo ship. On the cargo ship, there were lots of crates on it. I think that they are to be delivered to other countries as an exchange of goods. Some ships at the harbour are not loading or unloading their goods but they are to be there to refill their ships as their journey is long. I think that this is a busy harbour as there are plenty of ships there. One of the possibilities that it is so crowded is that it is in the middle of their journey and they decided to rest there and continue on their journey.
The setting sun casted shadows on the majestic ancient temple. I gingerly inched my way up the high, steep, rocky steps to the holy, grand building. As I pushed open the huge, rickety door, a faint smell of incense engulfed me. There were many eerie gothic carvings on the walls and they seem to have rich culture and history. It left a very deep impression on me. As I left the temple, I looked back at the sturdy statues piled up on the roof which seemed to stare back at me. I then walked back home as the crimson tangerine sky turned dark.
The sun is setting in the sky which is mixed with a variety of colours. It is a multi-coloured sky. A gigantic and amazing tower is set in the heart of the city, Tokyo. It looked like giant compared to the rest of the buildings surrounding it. The size of it makes it much taller and it is the most outstanding building. The decorations on the tower are exquisite especially when they are brightly lit. It seemed like I went there at the right time, as it seemed like they were having a celebration. After settling down at a hotel nearby, I went up to the tower with great excitement. Upon reaching the sharp pointy edge of the tower, I looked down and everything seemed so small to me. I managed to get a nice view of the entire city and it was so beautiful beyond any description. The great height makes me tremble and I regretted coming up the tower despite the magnificent scene. Much later, the smells and fragrance around the city, made me hungry while I went down to grab a bite. The smell was simply too alluring that I could not help but have a second helping. Back to the hotel, I was greeted by the grand hallway that I did not manage to notice when I first came to the hotel. It is grandiloquent. In my suite, the tower is being seen as spectacular in the night which is being sparkled. As I was admiring the pulchritude view of the tower, my eyelids felt heavy and I soon went into a deep sleep...
I am an explorer who is assigned to go to a deserted place. When I reached that place, the jeep that sent me here rumbled away across the sand, leaving a trail of soot on the sand and left me in this place. Alone. I saw many rusted machines standing there, feeling very lonely. Plants were withering as they were short of water. Suddenly, I heard a loud explosion. Looked up and saw thick, black billows of smoke rising towards the sky. The once clear, blue sky was now filled with black smoke which appear to be a wet blanket. My heart pounded as I scary thoughts filled my mind. Then, my eyes turned watery, which I knew very clearly that it was caused by the thick, grayish smoke. My nose soon picked up the smell of the smoke which could cause me to suffocate. I looked around as everywhere is barren. The sea water was crashing upon the shore violently. My legs were soon tired and fell on the sand. The hot, brown , parched land were threatening to burn me as I could feel the hotness on me.
It was the Christmas season. Everyone was shopping for gifts and exchanging gifts. The streets were packed with people late in the night. It was decorated with colourful and radiant decorations with blue, glittering lights in the dark night sky. Many people were smiling and their eyes narrowed into slits when they were receiving the gifts. It was a happy event and most of them were wearing Santa Claus’s hat, celebrating the season of joy and giving. Laughter and chattering could be heard everywhere. It was a heart-warming scene.
Gazing at the vast, serene, blue sky, I gasped, what a beautiful sight! I laid back and watched the fluffy, white clouds waltzed through the sky; sounds of birds chirping could be heard. I stood up. As I looked at the shimmering, glistening water, I wished that I could dive into the water. The reflection of the lush green forest could be seen on the surface of the water. I looked back at the forest; it seemed so dark as if there was danger lurking inside. I was glad that I was safe in the hot air balloon far from the ground. A few boats were parked along the riverbank. The forlorn mountains attracted my attention. I breathed in the fresh air and I continued my hot air balloon ride.
The brightly-lighted building which stands out in the night was bustling with activity and there were a lot of people holding placards. Dave was annoyed with the manner the people were standing. He hated noisy and crowded places. Except for Dave, all the people were grinning from ear to ear as they voted for their future leaders. There was a person holding up the Thailand flag. Dave saw that most of the people were wearing yellow t-shirts and thought that maybe their future leader's favourite colour was yellow. Some of them were holding posters and pictures of their favourite might-be leaders... ...
This shocking sight greeted me. Things were strewn around- rocks are shattered all around, strands of straws are scattered all over the uneven ground. The whole place is musty and it is filled with dust. The dilapidated house was old and destroyed completely. The rocky and rough ground seems to be difficult to be walked on. A macho-looking police officer wearing a presentable uniform is standing by the house, glaring at all the visitors who are approaching the scene. Many people are hollering for help and it seems never ending. Chaos is reigning and it should be after a terrorist attack or earthquake. I am sympathetic of the people who died and the loved ones of the deceased’s feel. The struggle for help by the victims was unmistakable and the pathetic voices strike fear in me. I approached the scene and felt a tingle of fear. Would something eerie befall me? Perhaps not, I think.
A layer of fog is floating above the houses. There are many lights like fireworks are descending upon the houses. The sky is crimson red. There are many black and grey clouds; it looks like as though it is going to rain. There seems to be an explosion and the stench is unbearable. There is a loud blast coming from it. The houses are completely destroyed. The residents are now aware of what has happened and is probably very terrified. There is supposedly going to be a sneak attack by other country. The fog is very thick and is a strip across the mountains.
It was a nice fine day. Mary was wearing her swimsuit and collecting unique seashells that were on the sparkling white beach. The seashells that she collected were in all sorts of shapes and sizes. The beach was edgeless. The waves of the vast, salty sea crashed the sand and the water seemed inviting. From where Mary was standing, the salty water could be smelt. There were trees that have many dark green leaves on the long sandy beach. The beach was a leisure to walk on and the water is cooling when it was touched. The scene of the beach made people forget their worries. The sunlight shone down and the water was shimmering. Near the beach, there are multi-storey buildings and small apartments. The property there worth a lot as the view of the beach was spectacular. There was a snake-like road that separated the land apart.
From afar, I could see an untidy snake-like queue, as long as the length of the hallway which was sparkling clean without an obvious speck of dust. People of different races, people from all walks of life, were waiting patiently for their turn to come. Standing on two exhausted feet, beads of perspiration glistened under the fluorescent lights. The cool air-conditioning is truly a relief to all of them. A little girl clad in a uniform like a sailor’s was walking aimlessly around with a blank look, her head turning desperately, probably trying to find her dear parents. From a distance, the noisy rumbling of the train could be heard.
The sun shone on the tall mossy trees that were nesting groups of birds, which burst into a happy tune, signaling to the world that a new day had started. Crickets sang in harmony with the birds, forming a symphony band in the park, breaking the morning silence. The brightly coloured, sweet scented flowers dotted around the lush green patch of grass, adding on to the beauty of nature. Crystal clear dew was collected on the smooth blades of grass, glistening with glamour as the sun shone on it. Grasshoppers are jumping and dancing happily in the squishy mud as if they were celebrating a happy occasion. A man wearing a reddish hat, trying to hide his baldness, was wearing a florescent orange jacket with yellow stripes, holding onto a shovel, tilting the soil, could be spotted like a sore thumb among the green scenery. The upturn soil carried an earthly smell.
I was walking on top of a big hill, filled with beautiful yellow flowers on a green meadow. The flowers smell refreshingly good. When I touch the petals of the flower, I can feel the smooth texture on it. I can feel the cheerful atmosphere in the air and when I look up in the vast blue sky that was dotted with fluffy white clouds, I saw beautiful birds flying in the air. Looking at the scenery makes me feel very peaceful and relaxed. I saw a man admiring the scenery and I saw him grinning from ear to ear. He looks like he is enjoying at the moment.
Sparkling yellow-white fireworks and pink and purple spotlights lit up the night sky. The towering skyscrapers hid behind the shadows created by the blinding array of fireworks and the solitaire and majestic fireworks. The spectators hooted and cheered, welcoming the start of a new year. “5… 4… 3… 2… 1… HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! ” Screamed the crowd in delight and excitement as the fireworks formed into a new array, bursting into the night sky, penetrating the darkness and blinding the eyes of the spectators. The magnificent Ferris Wheel reflected the light, making it more magnificent than ever.
It was Chinese New Year. China†own was full of people from all walks of life. There was an ERP stationed at the road like a guard. I could smell exhaust fumes coming from †he different vehicles on the rocky road, including a gargantuan bus. There were many †axis at the taxi stand which I were at. Big trees and ancient shophouses flanked the roads. There were also many inconsidera†e people jaywalking. The entire area was bright as there was a lot of orange stree†lamps along the pavement. These sights and smells were what awaited me when I went to Chinatown.:D

When I entered the basketball court, a crowd from all walks of life greeted me. Thousands of people milled in and out of the court. An incessant cacophony of shouts could be heard. Irritated people like me were trying desperately to jostle through the crowd. Foul smell of perspiration lingered in the air, making my face screw into a frown. When I got closer to the front, desperate people tried to reach the counter while some were too impatient to wait and preferred to get out of the mad crowd for some fresh, crisp air. Busy receptionists were scribbling down notes and particulars and some had flustered looks plastered on their faces. Inching closer, I realised that it was a educational fair.
The grey, moody, hindered sky definitely did not compliment the festive event that people were celebrating. Flashy signboards advertised different products. Red lanterns hung between the shophouses and colourful balloons decorated the busy street. The majestic buildings’ beauty was enhanced by seasonal flowers. Scents of delicious-looking food wafted through the air, making my mouth water. Vendors shouting ‘Le Long! Le Long!’ contributed to the already busy and noisy street. People debated among themselves whether or not to buy the so-called “special” products. Some housewives were even bargaining with the vendors for better prices just in case they were cheated for their money. As I walked even further down the street, I saw people pushing strollers with the groceries in it and carrying their baby. Just then, I saw a shop selling rugs. Out of curiosity, I reached out my hand and stroked one of the rugs. To my utter surprise, the rug was surprisingly soft and I would have liked to buy it. Unfortunately, the rug was too expensive and it was not within my budget for the day. The busy scene made me feel part of it and I would like to experience that exact feeling again.
